Jack, I am an equivocator here. How benign is it when it has gone on for 10weeks and she still has morning stiffness and bilateral tender joints despite naproxen? Who knows that without the NASAID she would be much worse and have joint swelling as well. Thus although I agree with you in principle, in this particular example I would investigate more thoroughly. Another approach would be to stop the NSAID and see how she does. I assume you had no reason to suspect parvovirus.
