It's always so dispiriting to see PMR patients rack up steroid side effects in front of your eyes.
(the intense motivation to do better than pred for our PMR patients)

Cannabis in Pain:
CBD can help with nociceptive pain
THC better for neuropathic, centralized pain
Perhaps a role in helping decrease other medications like opiates

IV or inhaled THC:
Works quickly with high peak, feel euphoric but not sustained response
Oral is much better for medicinal usage

Clauw: think of THC and CBD as “completely different”
Cannabidiol - safe, not psychoactive, “can use liberally”
THC - psychoactive with effects on CB1 and CB2 receptors. CB1 affects the brain where CB2 is more in inflammation

Myths by Daniel Clauw
Small fiber neuropathy - misnomer, non-specific, not worth getting a skin biopsy
Fibromyalgia is not autoimmune - it is nociplastic pain and treated differently
