A large observat study showed no difference in risk of major CV events in RA pts that were newly started on either MTX or HCQ. A greater stroke risk but lower risk of MI & hospitalized HF was seen in MTX initiators. #Abst1993 #ACR20 @RheumNow

There is hope for RA fatigue - improvements seen in F sex, non-smokers, lack of depression, high baseline fatigue. Abst#1737 @RheumNow #ACR20. Interested in role of exercise in the study. Smoking is BIG cause of fatigue, must address with fatigued RA pts.

SELECT-CHOICE on UPA vs ABA in RA in NEJM Oct 2020. How about PROs? UPA wins in phys fxn, pain, general health over ABA. Abst#1728 @RheumNow #ACR20. ABA better if a safety concern, but this is more evid to go for UPA
