"Allow me to Introduce Dr Jack Cush. I have known and admired Dr Cush for many decades as much for his personal attributes as for his professional achievements. I consider him the 'Will Rogers of Rheumatology' spinning his eclectic and immense knowledge into appetizing and entertaining parcels of informational snacks. Many of you have directly witnessed Dr Cush's style in the not-to-be-missed Rheumatology Roundup Sessions at the Annual meeting of the ACR. He and Dr Artie Kavanaugh, the Smothers Brothers of the meeting, provide a wrap up session which we want to hear even if we know much of the content. Furthermore the success of the Rheum Now program which Dr Cush had the wisdom and foresight to launch and lead to success is testimony to his leadership, knowledge and popularity. His patients are very lucky indeed to have him as their doctor, we are fortunate to experience and learn from him on the Rheum Now Week in Review and now we are honored to have him teach us directly about RA therapies in this lecture. I welcome Dr Cush from his Dallas home at Baylor where he is Professor of Medicine and Rheumatology to sunny southern California."
