Dr. Heller ends his NY Times post with the line "My vote is for the better practice of medicine, not the better use of computers". Thats the right focus, the only important goal. Like you I can support the smarter use of tools, like the EMR, but cringe at practices established by those focused on finance moreso than true quality. Many thanks for your genuine comments.
