Christian Dejaco, MD, PhD, MBA is a consultant and Associate Professor at the Department of Rheumatology of the Medical University of Graz. He is the chair of the scientific section of the Austria society of rheumatology, a member of the EULAR Standing Committee on Musculoskeletal Imaging and the EMEUNET country liaison for Austria. The research interests of Dr. Dejaco include giant cell arteritis and polymyalgia rheumatica, the applications of ultrasound in rheumatic diseases as well as the relevance of senescent T-cells in rheumatic diseases. He is the first author of the 2015 EULAR-ACR recommendations for the management of polymyalgia rheumatica. He published >80 peer reviewed articles in rheumatology.
