1-in patients with a new diagnosis of RA-ILD and arthritis controlled on MTX, although the pulmonary risk from MTX is low, I reflexively switch MTX to a comparable DMARD, which is leflunomide. My belief is that joint would continue to be controlled on LEF as MTX, without any concern regarding the MTX-lung.
IS THIS RIGHT? IS lef MORE SAFE THAN MTX?
2- What's the place of Tocilizumab, an anti-rheumatic, and we know it has some positive effects on lungs (in other CTDs)?
Thank you so much
