PLEASE stop calling nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs) "Non-Physician Providers". And do not call us "midlevels". Do not call us "physician extenders". The collective proper nosology is Advanced Practice Providers (Acronym of the Day: APPs).
