Joan T. Merrill, M.D. is a Professor at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and OMRF Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma as well as Adjunct Professor at New York University Medical Center. She directs the Oklahoma Cohort of the Rheumatic Diseases and has been a clinical trial investigator, quality assurance adjudicator and/or trial design consultant for more than 40 interventional trials for lupus. She has more than 300 peer-reviewed publications focusing on clinical lupus, lupus trial results, lupus trial design, predictive biomarkers or pharmacodynamic results of lupus treatments.
