Kristin is a pediatric rheumatologist and sports medicine specialist at British Columbia Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. She is dedicated to education and research. She is the clinical lead for juvenile myositis at BCCH and is actively involved in collaborative myositis projects through IMACS (International Myositis Assessment and Clinical Studies), CARRA (Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance) and Myositis Clinical Trials Consortium (MCTC).
Children with juvenile idiopathic inflammatory myositis (JIIM) are at risk of developing lung disease, notably interstitial lung disease (ILD).
