ACR Convergence 2024 opened today with a full slate of presentations, posters and specialty meetings. The meeting began with a flip: the plenary sessions started at 9AM and the poster session began at 1030 AM. Below are some of the highlights from day one in Washington, DC.

Late-onset asthma but earlier EGPA diagnosis?

it prevents herpes zoster episodes, in the real world.

GILZ is a negative regulator of the GC receptor, a potential steroid sparer target.
Dr. Miceli et al identified an E3 ligase of GILZ "E3-X" where deficiency leads to ⬆️ GILZ & ⬇️ inflammation.
More studies needed but a promising steroid sparer option.
