Prof Petri reports the ff predictors of fracture in SLE:
-older age
-Caucasian race
-female sex
⚠️ Prednisone (but not recent IM triamcinolone or IV methylpred) is a MAJOR risk factor.

Mechanism? NAC reduces rapamycin (mTOR) activation.
