Shervin Assassi, MD

Dr. Assassi is Director of the Division of Rheumatology and Professor of Medicine at UTHealth Houston. He also co-directs the UTHealth Scleroderma Program, which houses one of the largest specialized systemic sclerosis clinics in the USA. His laboratory focuses on the molecular profiling of longitudinally collected biospecimens for the identification of novel therapeutic targets and biomarkers. He is also a Steering Committee Member of several multicenter, international clinical trials focusing on the treatment of systemic sclerosis or SARD-ILDs.
