Dr. Yazdany is Chief of the Division of Rheumatology at San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) and the Alice Betts Endowed Professor of Medicine at UCSF. As a rheumatologist specializing in systemic lupus, she practices at SFGH and co-directs the UCSF Health Lupus Clinic. Dr. Yazdany’s scholarship focuses on improving health care quality, safety and outcomes for individuals with chronic rheumatic diseases. In 2020, she co-founded the COVID-19 Global Rheumatology Alliance.
