Cymbalta Lawsuit Alleges Downplay of Withdrawal Symptoms Save
An estimated 250 people have filed lawsuits against Lilly claiming the company failed to warn users of Cymbalta that they may suffer withdrawal symptoms if the drug was stopped abruptly, including suicidal thoughts and electric shock-like sensations. While the current product label states that there is a 1% chance or greater of people experiencing symptoms like nausea or insomnia when discontinuing the drug, plaintiffs argue this is a negligent underestimation of the actual risk. The case has gone to court in California this week.
