A study of 527 patients receiving daily hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) concluded that hydroxychloroquine blood levels may predict future HCQ retinopathy.

FDA Approves Rituximab for Children with GPA
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved Rituxan (rituximab) for the treatment of granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) and microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) in children 2 years of age and older in combination with glucocorticoids.

Analysis of records from the Mass General Brigham healthcare system in the Boston area, shows that breakthrough infections (after receiving SARS-CoV-2 vaccines) in patients with SARDs are not uncommon, and may be severe or fatal.

Important read re:G6PD testing prior to HCQ
Rare & not assoc w/hemolytic anemia in this cohort, but only 11 pts with G6PDH deficiency
I'm v. skeptical of G6PD screening; cost (no HCQ in SLE) could easily be worse than benefit (avoiding hemolytic anemia)
