ACR Invites Comment on Perioperative Management Guidelines Save
The ACR is inviting members and rheumatologists to comment on their proposal to develop recommendations for the "Perioperative Management of Rheumatic Disease Medications in Total Joint Arthroplasty of the Hip and Knee".
The guideline is being developed for orthopedists, rheumatologists and others who care for patients undergoing hip or knee arthroplasty.
This is a joint venture of the American College of Rheumatology and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons that will develop specific clinical questions and scenarios, review the literature and make recommendations using the "GRADE" method of developing consensus. The project is being lead by Dr. Susan Goodman and Dr. Jaz Singh; they anticipate completion and publication in 2016.
